It isn’t a hub-MMO like PSO2, but, rather, is a top-down isometric MMO. Lost Ark, much like PSO2, is the only type of MMO like this included. It’s been the most anticipated MMO of the last several years, and there’s no denying why that is.

Pantheon emphasizes community gameplay elements such as social interaction and objectives centered on the completion of collective activities. This game is arguably the most anticipated MMO of 2021.

It cares little for Tolkien lore (Shelob as a seductress? No thanks) but, forgive its shortcomings, and Shadow of War is a suitably epic adventure worthy of its Middle-earth branding. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is a crowdfunded-MMORPG coming from Visionary Realms and is expected to enter Alpha/final stages in the end of 2017 with a release in 2018 (although this is subject to change). The main story itself is a bit of a damp squib, but it doesn't matter, as the stories you discover as Talion, via your interplay with a host of randomly generated Orc captains, is where Shadow of War comes to life. The Nemesis system from the first game returns in full force here, allowing Talion not just to manipulate the army of the enemy, but intricately build and lead his own militia of brainwashed Orcs. Luckily, I can confirm that, with the exception of a few flaws, Monolith's follow-up is a rip-roaring success. Now, in 2017, its sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War (opens in new tab), had the new challenge of launching to great anticipation from an army of fans.

As an unexpected hit of 2014, Shadow of Mordor had the power of surprise at its side.
